Acoustic Concerts on the Beach

The Kampen beaches — known as the most exclusive on the island of Sylt — become a concert backdrop on four evenings during the summer. Directly in front of Kaamps7, a restaurant with a beach view on Kampen's west coast, musicians perform with acoustic setups — voice, guitar, piano, occasionally saxophone. The audience sits on the beach on blankets and folding chairs, with the North Sea in the background, the sunset coloring the scene. A concert format that is unique in its simplicity and location.

Four Dates in Midsummer 2026

The 2026 season includes four summer evenings: two in July, two in August — spread between the main holiday period and the island's pre-season. Each concert starts at 7:00 PM, lasts about 90 minutes, and ends with the sunset. The series has been an insider tip among regular Sylt guests for years.

Bad Weather Alternative

Should the weather not cooperate — wind, rain, too much North Sea breeze — the concert will be moved to the foyer of the Kaamp-Hüs. The Kaamp-Hüs is the municipal-tourist center of the Kampen municipality, located opposite the beach bar. Either way: the concert will take place.

Kampen — Sylt's Exclusive Artist Village

Kampen is located between Wenningstedt and List on the west coast of the island of Sylt. Made famous in the 1950s as a meeting place for artists, actors, and writers (Gunter Sachs, Romy Schneider, Theodor Heuss were guests here), Kampen is now one of the wealthiest municipalities in Germany — and one of the most culturally conscious. The Beach Sounds are the musical calling card of the summer.
