A Night Full of Music in the Old Town

Luckau is a small town on the edge of the Spreewald in the Dahme-Spreewald district. The Old Town, with its preserved city walls and the impressive St. Nicholas' Church, is one of the most beautiful in Southern Brandenburg.

The Kahnnacht is a summer evening event and takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026. It is part of the 'Luckau Highlights 2026' series and is anchored in the town's official event calendar.

Program

• 5 PM — Opening of the supporting program in the Old Town
• Opening concert in St. Nicholas' Church
• Musical boat trips on the town's waterways — bands play on the bank, boats glide past
• Free cultural events in the city center
• 10 PM — Performance by a surprise guest as the highlight

Luckau–Lübben Shuttle Train

A special service of the Kahnnacht is the shuttle train from Luckau to Lübben, which connects the festival with the Spreewald capital. This allows visitors from neighboring Lübben to conveniently reach the program by train — and back, without relying on a car.

Free Admission

All Kahnnacht events are free of charge. Only the boat trips and food/drinks at the stalls are subject to a charge. The townscape glows, the boats drift on the water, and music sounds from every corner — one of the most atmospheric summer nights in Lower Lusatia.
