Open-Air Festival for Electronic and Hip-Hop at Haselbacher See
Haselbacher See is a former lignite opencast mine lake on the Thuringian-Saxon border, between Altenburg and Meuselwitz in the Altenburger Land district. Today, it is a local recreation area with a bathing beach and natural scenery – and on one Saturday per year, the venue for the JAAS Festival.
With a capacity of around 4,000 visitors, the JAAS is intentionally kept small. This gives the festival its familiar flair: short distances, personal atmosphere, a manageable lineup. Starts at 8:00 PM, the program runs late into the night. Genre mix of electronic music (Tech-House, House, Techno) and German Hip-Hop.
The 2026 motto captures the festival's DNA. Die Gebrüder Brett (Tech-House duo from Germany) are among the regular headliners, joined by the Schlager/Pop duo Stereoact with singer Lena Marie Engel, Komacasper, the DJ collective DIA Plattenpussys, Kaacee, and Starfox & Lucas Wagner.
Recommended travel: Train to Altenburg, then shuttle or bus to Meuselwitz. The festival grounds are located directly on Haselbacher See, approx. 15 minutes' walk from Meuselwitz town center.
The 2026 edition continues the proven concept: one day, one location at Haselbacher See, a packed lineup between electronic music and Hip-Hop. Starts in the evening of July 25, program runs until deep into the night.
