About
The Indian Spirit Festival is at the forefront of European Psy-Trance festivals. It clearly positions itself at the intersection of electronic dance music, psychedelic stage art, and consciousness culture – with its own motto "Love, Dance & Trance". The program includes continuous DJ sets as well as yoga sessions, guided meditations, healing offerings, workshops, and laser shows.
Musical Profile
The genre spectrum ranges from Psychedelic Trance and Progressive Trance to Goa, Hi-Tech, and experimental Techno. Over the festival days, more than 150 national and international DJs perform on the three main stages and on the side areas. A dedicated Moon Stage caters to the more contemplative sub-genres in the early morning hours.
Production and Atmosphere
Characteristic features include the elaborately decorated stages in the meadows of Eldena, installations in the forest, the Chillout Garden with ambient journeys and yoga sessions, and the Market Mile with artisans, vegetarian-vegan food stalls, incense products, and psychedelic fashion. The festival has a strong camping character; many guests arrive on Wednesday and stay until Monday morning.
Significance in the Festival Calendar
With its timing at the end of August, the Indian Spirit traditionally concludes the European open-air season in the Psy-Trance scene. For many international artists, it is a mandatory date and a meeting point for the scene, where they can dance continuously until morning without the volume restrictions found at many inner-city festivals.
Location
Eldena is located in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, in southwestern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, not far from the A14 motorway and the Hamburg–Berlin railway line. The grounds are easily accessible via Ludwigslust and Pritzier, but many guests travel directly by car, bus, or organized shuttle from Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich.
Indian Spirit — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Indian Spirit Festival runs from Wednesday, August 26 to Monday, August 31, 2026, on the festival grounds in Eldena, Ludwigslust district. For six days, the landscape southwest of Ludwigslust transforms into a vast open-air complex with three main stages, the Moon Stage, the Chillout Garden, a Healing area, a yoga meadow, workshop tents, and a market mile featuring vegan gastronomy and handicrafts.
Over the festival days, more than 150 national and international DJs will perform. The first confirmed acts for 2026 include: Astral Projection, Fabio Fusco, GMS, LSDIRTY, Neelix, Vini Vici, Captain Hook, Hatikwa, Babalos, Dark Jochen, Psynonima, Vegas, and Burn in Noise. Getting There
By car: Take the A14 to the Ludwigslust exit, then follow the L72 to Eldena. By train: Take an ICE/Regio train to Ludwigslust, then a bus or organized shuttle to the festival grounds. Dedicated festival shuttles and ride-sharing services from Berlin or Hamburg are common.
Camping
Three options: Standard camping (included in the ticket), Special Camping with pre-installed equipment, and pitches for motorhomes. Registration via the official website.
Tickets
Tickets are available through the official portal MyTicket or the website indian-spirit.de. Typical price level similar to other major European Psy-Trance festivals (starting from approx. €220 for a festival pass), early bird discounts available, day tickets are limited.
