Tiefenbronn in the Heckengäu
Tiefenbronn is a municipality with around 5,600 inhabitants in the Enzkreis district (state of Baden-Württemberg) — located in the Heckengäu, an open hilly landscape between the Black Forest and Stuttgart. Tiefenbronn is known for its late Gothic St. Maria Magdalena Church with the famous high altar by Lukas Moser (1432, one of the most important works of South German late Gothic art). The Forcheneck parking lot is located on the outskirts of Tiefenbronn on Alte Wimsheimer Straße — and has been the venue for summer open-air events for years.
Hocketse — Swabian Open-Air Tradition
A Hocketse is the typical Swabian form of the open-air summer festival: people hockt — that is, sit together convivially — outdoors, eating and drinking, listening to live music. The Hocketse am Forcheneck follows this concept in the classic sense: benches, tables and chairs, a stage with bands or a DJ set, catering stands with Swabian specialties — and above all: a relaxed, Swabian-cozy atmosphere.
Organizer EventBus GbR
The organizer is EventBus GbR — a Tiefenbronn initiative that has been organizing open-air formats in the region for several years. Unlike purely club festivals, EventBus is a semi-professional initiative that combines concepts from the event industry with the local Hocketse tradition.
Program and Atmosphere
Throughout the festival day, the following usually take place:
- Live music or DJ set on the main stage — cover bands, Schlager acts, regional bands
- Catering with Swabian specialties: Maultaschen, Bratwurst, Schnitzel, Fries
- Draught beer, Württemberg wine, cocktail bar
- Family program with children's area
- relaxed Hocketse atmosphere — no admission fee, no wristbands
