65th edition of the largest carnival parade in the Pforzheim Nagoldtal valley
Since 1952, the Fasnetsumzug Pforzheim-Dillweißenstein has been one of the largest and most traditional carnival events in the northern Black Forest. On February 14, 2026, the 65th edition kicks off — an anniversary that will greatly motivate the approximately 2,000 active participants from the eight cooperating associations. The route leads from the arch of the historic Dillweißenstein Bogenbrücke bridge through the picturesque Nagoldtal valley to Ludwigsplatz in the Dillweißenstein district.
As tradition dictates, the parade starts on Carnival Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:33 PM at the arch of the Dillweißenstein Bogenbrücke bridge. The route follows the Nagold river through the Stadttal — one of the most spectacular parade routes in Southern Germany. Thousands of spectators line the way.
Eight cooperating associations jointly organize the parade: Belrem Gilde e.V., Kräheneck Hexen e.V., Pforzheimer Faschingsgesellschaft, and other local guilds. A total of over 60 walking groups, music bands, and decorated floats participate — both regional and interregional groups from the Black Forest and Württemberg.
Festivities commence at Ludwigsplatz, the parade's finish point. A VIP grandstand offers privileged viewing of the parade. Admission to the parade is €3 (children under 14 free), VIP grandstand seat is €14 (limited availability, advance sales start January 31, 2026). Local police and the German Red Cross secure the event — comprehensive security and traffic planning is necessary due to the route's length and visitor numbers.
Dillweißenstein is one of Pforzheim's southwestern districts, located in the Nagoldtal valley at the transition to the Black Forest. The historic 18th-century Bogenbrücke bridge with its arch is not only the starting point of the parade but also one of the city's landmarks. The district is accessible via the L 562 and connected by bus line 3 from Pforzheim main station.
