Traditional Harvest Thanksgiving festival in the village of Walsleben in the Amt Temnitz
Walsleben is a municipality in the Amt Temnitz, district of Ostprignitz-Ruppin (OPR), northwest of Berlin and about 10 km northwest of the district town of Neuruppin. The municipality has around 1,000 inhabitants and is characterised by fields, forests, and the rolling hills of the northern Mark Brandenburg. Walsleben is also home to the Grundschule am Mühlenweg (Elementary School on Mühlenweg), which, as a central educational institution, helps shape village life.

In Walsleben, the Harvest Festival has established itself as an annual village event, supported by a partnership between the municipality, the elementary school, and local clubs (fire brigade, sports club, heritage society).
The festival takes place on the Walsleben festival grounds near the Grundschule am Mühlenweg. The program includes:

Co-organisation by the Grundschule am Mühlenweg ensures that children also actively participate in shaping the festival — a tradition that has retained its firm place in the Brandenburg village calendar.
