The Richard-Haizmann-Museum in Niebüll is one of the most important museums for contemporary art in Schleswig-Holstein. The museum is named after the Niebüll sculptor Richard Haizmann (1895–1963) and has been dedicated to promoting modern and contemporary art for decades. Program Highlights

Particularly noteworthy is the exhibition of the marehalm ART award 2026, a renowned art prize. In addition, the year presents a broad spectrum of contemporary positions – from painting (Diestelhorst, Pisch, Ribbe) and sculpture and graphics (Verclas) to the combination of historical Haizmann works with contemporary design photography in the exhibition “Image and Gesture”.

Niebüll is the largest town on the Eiderstedt peninsula and the seat of the Südtondern office in the district of Nordfriesland. The town, with around 10,000 inhabitants, is the terminus of the Marschbahn railway and the car train connection to Sylt – an important hub in the north of Schleswig-Holstein. The Haizmann-Museum on Rathausplatz in the town center is one of the city's cultural highlights and a major attraction for art travelers from northern Germany and Scandinavia.
