From Friday to Sunday, the market square and surrounding alleys transform into a large festival mile. Several stages are spread throughout the city center, with theater performances and open-air concerts forming the stage program. Tradition from the Textile Town

Crimmitschau is a town with a rich textile tradition – the textile industry shaped the town from the 18th century to the 20th century and was one of the driving forces behind Saxon industrialization. Today, this history lives on in the Saxon Industrial Museum (Gebrüder Pfau Textile Factory); the Marktfest on the historic market square annually brings the town to a civic highlight.
