Anniversary Parade 2026 — 200 Years of Narrhalla
The Narrhalla 1826 e.V. carnival guild celebrates its 200th birthday in 2026. The Großer Bühler Fastnachtsumzug on Shrove Sunday, February 15, 2026, is dedicated to the anniversary and carries the motto "200 Johr de Salamander g'riebe" — an allusion to the Bühler Salamander, the town's symbol and the guild's symbolic core.
The parade starts at 2:11 PM in Bühl's city center and proceeds through the Hauptstraße. Approximately 120 groups with about 70 clubs are participating — costume wearers, friendly carnival guilds from the Baden and Swabian-Alemannic regions, dance groups, Guggemusik bands, and floats with current and historical themes.

200 Years of Bühler Fastnacht
The Narrhalla Bühl carnival guild is one of the oldest in Middle Baden — founded in 1826, it celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2026. The motto of the anniversary carnival "200 Johr de Salamander g'riebe" alludes to the Bühler Salamander tradition: The Bühler Salamander is the town's heraldic animal and has been the symbolic core of the carnival guild from the beginning. The highlight of the 2026 season is the Großer Bühler Fastnachtsumzug on Shrove Sunday, February 15, 2026.
Around 120 Groups, 70 Clubs, Floats
The parade traditionally starts at 2:11 PM — the carnival time of the Elferrat (council of eleven). Around 120 groups — costume wearers of the carnival guild, friendly guilds from the Baden and Swabian-Alemannic regions, dance groups, Guggemusik bands, clubs from Bühl and the region, as well as large floats — march through the Hauptstraße. Approximately 70 clubs are involved in total, making the parade one of the largest and most attended Fastnacht parades in Middle Baden.
Salamanders, Witches, and Häs
Characteristic of Bühler Fastnacht is the mix of Swabian-Alemannic Häs tradition (carved wooden masks, magnificent costumes) and Rhenish-influenced elements — Bühl lies at the intersection of Baden-Alemannic and Palatinate-Rhenish carnival culture. Salamander figures, witches, traditional jester figures of the Narrhalla, and neighboring guilds (Sasbachwalden, Gernsbach, Achern) are part of the profile.
Bühl in the Middle Black Forest Foothills
Bühl, with around 30,000 inhabitants, is located in the Rastatt district, in the middle of the Rhine plain at the transition to the Black Forest. The town is famous for its plum cultivation (the Bühler Zwetschge is a regional trademark) and its vibrant Fastnacht scene. In the state of Baden-Württemberg, Bühler Fastnacht is one of the most traditional Baden expressions of this custom.
