Neighbourhood festival of the community centre in western Nuremberg
The Gebersdorf Neighbourhood Festival is a central event of the Bürgertreff Gebersdorf e.V., supported by the Office for Culture and Leisure of the City of Nuremberg as a cultural and meeting centre. The festival aims to promote an active neighbourhood, bridging generations and welcoming both long-time residents and newcomers.
The venue is the Bürgertreff Gebersdorf at Neumühlweg 2 (90449 Nuremberg), housed in a former police building from 1989 converted into a meeting place. The grounds include a playground and a daycare centre. The nearby Z.punkt Jugendhaus (youth centre) is a co-organiser, participating with its own programme and a stand.
The neighbourhood festival combines music, hands-on activity stands, art, movement, and children's activities. It complements the Bürgertreff's year-round programme of lectures, excursions, sustainability topics, book sales, and musical evenings featuring artists from various genres. The festival explicitly functions as a networking space for clubs, initiatives, and volunteers in the district.
Gebersdorf is a statistical district and neighbourhood in western Nuremberg, in the state of Bavaria. The Bürgertreff has been a focal point for encounters and cultural activities here for years. The neighbourhood festival is one of numerous summer festivals in Nuremberg's districts, listed in the city's official event calendar.
The festival is aimed at families from Gebersdorf and the surrounding districts, volunteers from clubs and initiatives, young people who want to experience or get to know the Z.punkt programme, and visitors who want to experience an authentic Nuremberg neighbourhood festival away from the major city centre events.
The 2026 Neighbourhood Festival in Gebersdorf will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Bürgertreff located at Neumühlweg 2. The detailed programme will be developed by Bürgertreff Gebersdorf e.V. with participating clubs, initiatives, and the Z.punkt Jugendhaus, which will be involved from 2 PM onwards.
The festival is part of the series of Nuremberg district, street, and summer festivals 2026, as listed in the official event calendar of the City of Nuremberg.
Free admission. Food and drinks will be offered by the stands of the participating clubs at usual neighbourhood festival prices.
The Bürgertreff at Neumühlweg 2 is easily accessible by public transport (bus) and car. Park-and-ride via the nearby suburban train connections is recommended, as parking space on-site is limited.
There is a children's playground on the premises; seating and food stands will be set up as part of the festival. Free admission.
