The Promenade — Münster's Green Ring

The Münsteraner Promenade is a cultural-historical gem: a 4.5-kilometer-long avenue of lime trees, forming a green ring precisely where the city fortifications stood until the 18th century. Today, it's one of Germany's most beautiful routes for cycling and walking, lined with the castle, Aasee lake, Zwinger, and historic fountains. It's precisely here, five times a year, that the Promenadenflohmarkt takes place — extending along the entire avenue.

The 2026 Dates in Detail

• Sat, May 9, 2026, 8 AM–4 PM — Season opening with private and commercial sellers
• Fri, June 19, 2026, 8 PM–2 AM — Summer Night Flea Market ⭐ The highlight of the season: browsing by the light of the promenade lamps, with drink stands, live music, and a very special atmosphere.
• Sat, June 20, 2026, 8 AM–4 PM — Daytime event right after the Summer Night, exclusively commercial.
• Sat, August 15, 2026, 8 AM–4 PM — Summer date
• Sat, September 19, 2026, 8 AM–4 PM — Season finale

No date in July — a deliberate summer break by the organizer.

Summer Night Flea Market — The Münster Highlight

The Summer Night Flea Market on June 19, 2026 is the emotional centerpiece of the series. From 8 PM to 2 AM, the promenade becomes a nocturnal stage under lamps and fairy lights. What's for sale: everything. What to drink: beer, wine, cocktails, mulled wine in summer. What to hear: live bands at strategically placed spots. Those who have been there once, return — Münster in June has a special magic.
