Stuttgart becomes a future laboratory — 150 international speakers, 5 conference formats, and an open-air stage at Berliner Platz
On June 25 and 26, 2026, Stuttgart-Mitte will transform into a laboratory for future issues. The Futuromundo Multi-Conference + Festival bundles five parallel conference formats, hundreds of workshops, and an open-air stage with live music and DJ sets into a two-day innovation festival. The venues are Berliner Platz in the heart of Stuttgart's cultural mile, Liederhalle Stuttgart, and Haus der Wirtschaft on Willi-Bleicher-Straße — three venues, one shared program.
The core content is formed by five conference tracks, each dedicated to a key question of the next decade. FUTUROMUNDO EDU (June 25 and 26) is an international learning festival discussing skills for the future, from early childhood education to lifelong learning. FUTUROMUNDO FORESIGHT (June 25) is the “Future Urban Economies Forum” aimed at city makers, planners, and economic developers. FUTUROMUNDO INNO (June 26) is the European Innovation Forum featuring transformation trends and breakthrough innovations. FUTUROMUNDO CYBERLÄND (June 26) is the immersive convention focused on the metaverse, AI, and digital twins.
Around 150 speakers from business, science, and politics have been confirmed — including representatives from T-Systems, META, Microsoft Germany, Deutsche Telekom, as well as researchers from the University of Cambridge and Fraunhofer IAO. The format deliberately emphasizes a mix of keynote stages, small discussion formats, and hands-on workshops in the partner “Clubhouses” distributed throughout the city center.
Parallel to the conference, Berliner Platz in front of Liederhalle will be transformed into an open festival area. The main stage will feature a mix of live music, DJs, and startup pitch battles. Admission to the open-air section is lower than for the conference and is also aimed at spontaneous visitors to Stuttgart's city center.
Thematically, Futuromundo aligns perfectly with Stuttgart: The state capital of Baden-Württemberg is home to Daimler, Porsche, and Bosch, but also to numerous tech startups, research institutions like Fraunhofer IAO, and the University of Stuttgart. The cultural mile around Berliner Platz, Staatsgalerie, and Liederhalle has been a venue for major events for decades — from classical festivals to book fairs. Futuromundo continues this tradition with a clear future-oriented focus.
Tickets start at €66 for the open-air day pass; conference tickets are significantly higher depending on the format and tier. The target audience includes innovation managers, education leaders, city makers, tech enthusiasts, and culturally interested Stuttgart residents — consciously aiming for a broad audience.
