About Fürth Suburban Kärwas
Fürth Suburban Kärwas — edition 2026
In 2026, the Fürth Suburban Kärwas will follow one another from the end of June to the end of September. The Kärwa in Sack (June 26–29) will kick things off, and Vach (September 18–21) will conclude the season. In between, numerous districts of the Cloverleaf City will celebrate their own Kirchweih with festival tents, beer stands, amusement rides, stalls, and brass band music.
Each suburban Kärwa has its own character and is supported by the voluntary efforts of the district associations. The exact daily programs will be published by the respective Kirchweih societies shortly before their Kärwa.

One City, Many Kärwas
The Cloverleaf City of Fürth is famous for its Kirchweihen. In addition to the large Michaelis-Kirchweih, the "Queen of Franconian Kirchweihen," almost every district celebrates its very own Kärwa festival from June to September. Together, the Fürth Suburban Kärwas form a Kärwa season lasting many weeks, which is counted among the most beautiful times of the year in Fürth.
Tradition and Joie de Vivre
Each suburban Kärwa has its individual character, but Franconian conviviality and lived customs are common to all. Marquees and beer stands, amusement rides and stalls, candied almonds, chocolate-covered fruits, popcorn, and gingerbread hearts are just as much a part of it as brass band music and neighbourhood gatherings. The festivals are supported by the voluntary commitment of the district associations and Kirchweih societies.
From Sack to Vach
The season traditionally opens with the Kärwa in Sack, followed by Eigenes Heim, Ronhof, Burgfarrnbach, Unterfarrnbach, Fürberg, Stadeln, Poppenreuth, and Atzenhof, before Vach concludes the season – the last opportunity for all Kärwa fans before it starts again next year in Sack.
