The largest Kerb in Wiesbaden's suburbs — 93rd edition at Veilchenweg
In the Freudenberg district of Wiesbaden, on the western edge of the state capital, one of the region's largest Kerb festivals has been running since the 1930s. The Freudenberger Kerb has evolved from a village festival into a district festival with supra-regional appeal. The organizer is the Kerbe- und Carnevalgesellschaft Freudenberg 1953 e. V., one of the oldest associations in the district.
2026 marks the 93rd edition. From Thursday, June 4th, to Monday, June 8th, the festival grounds at Veilchenweg 1 in Freudenberg will be dominated by the Kerb. The amusement rides — bumper cars, Ferris wheel, swan carousel, chain carousel — are among the biggest attractions alongside the festival tent.
The large festival tent features a daily live music and DJ program. Tribute bands, Schlager music, and party nights, Schoppen (local wine), bratwurst, and wine — the classic Kerb program in the Wiesbaden style. The festival grounds are family-friendly, large parts of the paths are level, and admission is free.
Highlight on Monday evening: the grand finale fireworks, a hallmark of the Kerb. Visible for miles from the Schwarzbachtal valley — many Wiesbaden residents travel specifically to Freudenberg for it.
During the Kerb, ESWE Verkehr bus lines reroute around Freudenberg. Shuttle buses from Wiesbaden city center to the festival grounds are set up — please check ESWE notices and timetable updates on the Kerb website.
Five days of folk festival at the Freudenberg festival grounds. Festival tent catering by the Kerbe- und Carnevalgesellschaft, classic amusement rides, daily program in the festival tent. Detailed daily programs will be communicated shortly before the Kerb on the festival website.
Festival grounds freely accessible. Amusement rides and festival tent catering are paid separately. Shuttle bus tickets via ESWE Verkehr.
