Summer concert for Fête de la Musique in the historic park of Schloss & Gut Liebenberg
For centuries, Liebenberg in the Oberhavel district was the seat of the noble Eulenburg family, who played a prominent role in Prussian and German history. Today, the castle, the English landscape park, and the estate belong to the DKB Foundation, which makes the ensemble publicly accessible as a venue for conferences, culture, and education — nestled in the natural landscape on the border between the Ruppiner Land and the Berlin metropolitan area.
The Fête de la Musique — the international day of music, celebrated annually on June 21 — is also celebrated in Liebenberg. In 2026, the estate is hosting the Fête as a summer concert in the park: a program of classical, chamber, and sometimes crossover-oriented music, tailored to the acoustic atmosphere of the castle and estate grounds.
The Fête is part of a multi-part summer event series — the DKB Foundation's Cultural Summer — which fills the estate with readings, concerts, and open-air programs between May and September. Additionally, the Foundation offers free guided tours on special event days, providing insight into the history of the place.
Schloss & Gut Liebenberg is located on the edge of the Stechlin-Ruppiner Land Nature Park and is one of the most distinctive excursion destinations between Berlin and Brandenburg-North. The combination of the historic ensemble, the English landscape park, and curated cultural work makes the site one of Brandenburg's prominent cultural locations — integrated into the network of Rheinsberg Palace, Boitzenburg Palace, and the waters of the Ruppiner See.
Liebenberg can be reached by train (RE5 to Löwenberg/Mark, then bus or taxi) and car (A10 / B96 Berlin–Oranienburg). For program details and tickets, contact the DKB Foundation ([email protected], +49 33094 700451) and the festival website kulturfeste.de.
