The 2026 edition continues the festival's tradition at RAZ Oldenburg (the old Casino). 15 selected illustrators will present their work, accompanied by a diverse program featuring an opening vernissage, artist talks, workshops, readings, slam poetry, concerts, animated films, and panel discussions.

The Festival der Illustration Oldenburg serves as a showcase for the professional illustration scene in the North. For over two weeks—from August 21 to September 6, 2026—it brings together exhibitions, networking, and discussions at a unique venue: the RAZ Oldenburg (the old casino).

The choice of the RAZ – RAUM_AUF_ZEIT (Heiligengeiststraße 12, corner of 91er Straße, old casino) is intentional. Rather than a traditional gallery, the festival utilizes a community space that revitalizes the city center through temporary cultural use.
