The inclusive rock festival in Bremen's east – celebrating for everyone
Be a part – the name says it all. The inclusive music festival by Conpart e.V. in Bremen's Osterholz district aims to be a completely normal rock festival, just for everyone. People with and without disabilities celebrate side-by-side to live music, meet each other, and strike up conversations. This very interaction, which doesn't usually happen at most festivals, is the core of the event. It traditionally opens with the Conpart Kids before the bands take the stage.
The idea for the festival originated in 2020, and the first edition followed in 2022 on the grounds of Conpart e.V.'s day care facility at Osterholzer Heerstraße. The premiere already exceeded expectations, and the second edition in 2024 brought even more visitors, additional art offerings, and information stands – supported by numerous volunteers. As a Bremen-based organization, Conpart e.V. supports people with disabilities in work, education, and day care; the festival is part of this inclusive fundamental attitude and aims to firmly anchor inclusive thinking in the festival landscape.
The lineup is deliberately broad in terms of music: from blues and rock to punk-pop and folk-punk, rockabilly, Neue Deutsche Welle, and soul. Past editions have featured bands like Wurstgeschäft, Soulala, Pure Tonic, Bukow, and Circus Rhapsody. Some bands embody inclusion on stage themselves – for example, formations where musicians with and without disabilities play together.
The entire site is consistently designed for accessibility: level and paved ground, a large wheelchair ramp, accessible toilets, care facilities, and catering that also caters to people with swallowing difficulties. Good public transport connections make travel uncomplicated.
This sends a clear signal from Bremen's east for a festival where no one is left out.
The third edition of the Festival be a part will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, on the grounds of Conpart e.V. at Osterholzer Heerstraße 194 in Bremen-Osterholz. The festival will traditionally open at 2 PM with the Conpart Kids; afterwards, six bands will play from blues and rock to punk-pop, rockabilly, and soul, as well as rock and pop hits with Elvis vocals and an AC/DC tribute – until the afterparty from midnight takes over. People with and without disabilities will celebrate together on the fully accessible grounds: large wheelchair ramp, paved ground, accessible toilets, care facilities, and catering for people with swallowing difficulties. Discounted advance tickets are available until the end of the year for 10 Euros via the Conpart day care center (Tel. 0421-4091421) or directly from Ingo Schilling (0157 5553 6252).
