Sommernachtskino — Open-Air in the Town Hall Courtyard

The Fellbach Summer Night Cinema is one of the most beautiful open-air cinema series in the Stuttgart region. The venue is the Town Hall courtyard right in the center of Fellbach — a closed, intimate courtyard where the historic architecture of the town hall serves as a natural backdrop. Starry sky over the courtyard, screen against the town hall wall, rows of chairs or bench seating, plus drinks and snacks — that's the formula that has worked for years.

What You'll Experience

On eleven consecutive summer evenings between August 20 and 30, 2026, a feature film will be shown as soon as dusk sets in. The film selection is diverse: current audience hits, cult classics to rediscover, family films on select evenings, and occasionally arthouse or European productions. The program will be published on the city's official websites before the festival and is usually available from the second week of August.

The Atmosphere

Open-air cinema thrives on its atmosphere — and the Town Hall courtyard is ideal for it: sheltered from wind and street noise, acoustically compact, with a size that remains personal. As soon as the sun disappears behind the town hall walls and the film begins, the Summer Night Cinema has that special magic that makes open-air cinemas loved in the summer. Fellbach and the Remstal

Fellbach is located in the Rems-Murr district, directly on the eastern edge of Stuttgart, and with around 47,000 inhabitants, it is the largest city in the district. The city is part of the well-known Remstal wine-growing region — Trollinger, Lemberger, and Riesling have been grown here for centuries. The Summer Night Cinema is part of the city's extensive event program, which extends from the Schwabenlandhalle and the Kelter area to the city center.
