Fellbach Christmas Market — A Fairytale Advent in the Rems-Murr Town

The Fellbach Christmas Market is one of the most beautiful Advent markets in the greater Stuttgart area and the Rems-Murr region. For 48 years — making 2026 a significant edition — the center of Fellbach transforms into an atmospheric Advent space between late November and Christmas Eve. The event is organized by the City of Fellbach with its city marketing department, and Fellbach's retailers, clubs, and church communities.

Three Squares — Three Atmospheres

A special feature of Fellbach: The Christmas market isn't confined to a single area but spreads across three closely located squares, each with its own character:

• Kirchplatz by the Protestant town church — the more contemplative part with fir trees, a nativity scene, and Advent music
• Rathaus-Innenhof — the atmospheric heart with the famous light net spanning the courtyard and bringing thousands of lights into the space. The main stage is also located here
• Guntram-Palm-Platz in front of the music school — supplementary stalls and exhibitors, often focusing on arts and crafts

Ice Rink, Fairytale Forest, and Stage Program

• The ice rink with skate rental and occasional DJ disco evenings
• A fairytale forest in the old cemetery with wooden figures — a quiet, somewhat mysterious Advent space for families
• A stage program featuring Fellbach clubs and regional artists in the Illuminated Garden
• Rotating exhibitor stalls — not a fixed stall program, but changing local clubs, kindergartens, and schools present for several days, bringing their own selections

Mulled Wine, Crafts, and Swabian Christmas Pastries

Food and drinks are provided by Fellbach clubs, church communities, and restaurateurs — from mulled wine and children's punch to Maultaschen (Swabian dumplings), Swabian snack platters, bratwurst, and fried pastries, to the sweet Christmas classic with Spritzgebäck (spritz cookies), Vanillekipferl (vanilla crescents), gingerbread, and stollen. The craft stalls offer regional ceramics, knitwear, Black Forest wood carvings, honey, and candles.

The Fellbach Christmas Market is accessible: level ground, ramps where necessary, accessible toilets nearby, and excellent public transport connections via the U1/U16 Stadtbahn (suburban train), which connects Fellbach directly to Stuttgart city center.
