Youth festival on Karlsfelder See – by young people for young people
The FünfSieben Festival was launched in 2024 by the Kreisjugendring Dachau and immediately filled a gap in the festival landscape of the northern Munich hinterland. The premiere alone attracted around 1,500 visitors to Karlsfelder See. Today, the festival is considered a popular meeting point for young music fans from the Dachau district and western Bavaria.
The program is spread across two stages with different characters. On the Mainstage, three current headliners from German hip-hop, indie pop, and electro perform – usually acts that are already on the radio or known for streaming success. The Youth Stage, on the other hand, is reserved for up-and-coming artists from the region: six young bands, solo artists, or DJs play in the afternoon with free admission. The auditions for this stage traditionally take place in spring – a real opportunity for the regional music scene.
The truly special thing about the FünfSieben Festival is its support model: Around 160 volunteers organize the program, setup, ticketing, catering, and security annually. Young people aged 13 and over can get involved in the organizing team or the crew. This keeps ticket prices extremely low at around €11 – a conscious counterpoint to the highly commercial major festivals.
The venue is the parking lot by the lake at the Karlsfeld Youth Center, located directly on the lake. In good weather, the area becomes a summer open-air stage with food trucks, sunbathing lawns, and unobstructed views of the water. Public transport connections to Munich make travel uncomplicated – an S-Bahn hub is only a few kilometers away.
Holders of a severely disabled person's ID (GdB 50+) and a companion receive free admission. Holders of the JuLeiCa card also get free entry to the festival. These inclusion measures underscore the event's claim to be open to all young people.
The festival starts at 2:00 PM on the Youth Stage with six regional upcoming artists. The Mainstage opens at 5:30 PM for ticket holders and offers a curated headliner block with three current acts from German hip-hop and pop. DJs will bridge the changeover breaks.
Carlo5, Dilla, and TJARK are the three Mainstage headliners for 2026. On the Youth Stage, Ino Yin, Beatless, Loissl, Offroad, Sasko, and Nonie will perform – all young acts from the greater Munich area and the Dachau district.
Food trucks, sunbathing lawns, a bar, and an official festival merch tent complete the offering. The festival ends at 11:30 PM.
Mainstage tickets from approx. €11 via 57festival.de. The Youth Stage is accessible free of charge – no ticket required. JuLeiCa cardholders and severely disabled persons (GdB 50+) including a companion receive free admission to the Mainstage.
