6th Company Run in Remscheid

The EWR Firmenlauf Remscheid was launched in 2021 and is continuously developing into a firm fixture in the sporting calendar of the Bergisches Land. The organizer is NeoMove GmbH, and the title sponsor is Energie- und Wasserversorgung Remscheid (EWR). The 6th edition will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026 — the meeting point and finish line is the Schützenplatz Remscheid.

4.3 Kilometers Through the Stadtpark

The course measures approximately 4.3 kilometers and leads from the Schützenplatz through the Remscheid Stadtpark and the surrounding streets back to the start. The route is designed to be family-friendly — the fastest team can win, but also the largest team, the best slogan, and the most creative outfit. The focus is less on competition and more on team building among companies in the Bergisches Land.

The "Löwen-Pokal" for the Most Creative Outfit

A special feature of the Remscheid company run: The Löwen-Pokal for the most creative team outfit is a unique trophy and is awarded with great applause. In 2025, "Logopädie und Ergotherapie Neubert" secured the title with an elaborately designed caterpillar costume. In previous years, teams won in swimwear, as a construction worker crew, or with self-built cardboard costumes — the creative competition is part of the DNA of this event.

Charity: 1 Euro Per Registration

For each registration, NeoMove GmbH donates 1 Euro to the Ärztliche Kinderschutzambulanz Bergisch Land e.V. — an institution that provides medical, psychological, and socio-pedagogical help to children who have been abused, neglected, or affected by violence. The social aspect is not an add-on for the EWR Firmenlauf, but part of its concept.

After-Run-Party at the Schützenplatz

After the run, the Schützenplatz remains lively: After-Run-Party with live music, drinks, and catering. Many teams use the evening for extended get-togethers — the company run has become the late-summer employee event in the Bergisches Land.

Remscheid in the Bergisches Land

Remscheid is an independent city in North Rhine-Westphalia with around 110,000 inhabitants, located in the Bergisches Land region between Wuppertal and Solingen. The Stadtpark, through which the company run leads, is the green lung of the city center — and the Schützenplatz with its festival meadow is ideally suited for large events like this run.
