Inclusive dance and performance festival with international guests
The EveryBody Festival in Nuremberg is an inclusive festival for dance and performance: contemporary dance for people with and without disabilities, in front of and on stage. It celebrates the diversity of bodies – their strength as well as their vulnerability – and showcases artistic works that are rarely experienced in this country. The festival is organized by the KunstKulturQuartier Nürnberg.
The festival brings outstanding international companies to Nuremberg. The invited guests come from South Africa, Scotland, South Korea, Israel, Spain, and Germany. The focus is on excellent dance and performance productions by and with artists with disabilities.
Several locations in Nuremberg's cultural scene are used: the Tafelhalle, the Künstlerhaus, and the Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds. The opening is a production at the Tafelhalle, and from the middle of the festival, the international week begins with double bills.
The EveryBody Festival consistently embraces inclusion: extensive accessibility (including audio description), numerous workshops, and a performance for children aged three and up show that this festival is truly intended for every body. It is funded by, among others, the German Federal Cultural Foundation.
Two weeks of inclusive dance and performance in Nuremberg. Opening on March 12 at the Tafelhalle, from March 18 the international week with double bills, plus workshops and a children's program for ages three and up.
