Kirchweih and Harvest Thanksgiving in One Festival
The Euerbach Kirchweih combines two traditions: the Kirchweih (the festival of the church consecration) and the Erntedankfest (Harvest Thanksgiving Festival), with which thanks are given in autumn for the harvested crops. It is celebrated in the municipality of Euerbach in the fertile Schweinfurt region of Lower Franconia.
Supported by the Settlers' Association and Fire Brigade
The organizers are the Siedlerverein and the Euerbach Volunteer Fire Brigade, who have been organizing the festival for years with great volunteer commitment. Festive activities with brass band music, hearty food, coffee and cake, and social gatherings characterize the multi-day program.
Autumn Village Festival
The Kirchweih falls in early October, during the autumn festival season around Harvest Thanksgiving and German Unity Day. It is an important social meeting point that brings together the village community and guests from the surrounding area.
