The City Festival of the Banking Suburb

The Eschenfest is the big summer city festival of Eschborn – that high-finance suburb in the Main-Taunus district, which is known worldwide as an office location for Deutsche Bank, Vodafone, Ernst & Young, and many other corporations, more than what Eschborn residents themselves see as their identity. This is exactly what the Eschenfest makes visible: On this weekend, Eschborn is not a banking skyline, but a small town with clubs, showmen, and farmer's asparagus.

Festival Mile from Eschenplatz to Unterortstraße

The venue is the entire Eschborn city center – from Eschenplatz as the central stage location to Unterortstraße (trade exhibition) and on to Hauptstraße and Jahnstraße. In 2026, the festival grounds will be expanded: Hauptstraße and Jahnstraße up to Liebigweg are included for the first time this year. The streets will be closed to car traffic from Saturday 8 AM to Sunday 9 PM.

Opening with Mayor Shaikh

The kick-off on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at 3 PM, is the official opening by Mayor Adnan Shaikh on the stage at Eschenplatz. Immediately following, the Taunus Bigband will perform (3 PM–5 PM), and simultaneously, Impulse Music Eschborn will play with their big band sound. At 5 PM, Luca D'acri takes over with Italian classics, accompanied by gondoliers and stilt walkers.

Max Headroom and Pyro Show

The musical highlight of Saturday is the cover band Max Headroom with „Selected Hits from Rock History“ – from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM on the main stage. In between, at 10 PM, there will be the pyro spectacle over Eschenplatz, the visual trademark of the Eschenfest. The audience choreography is classic: enjoy the pyro, then return to the rock stage.

Sunday with Latin and 80s

Sunday offers more relaxed tunes. Catalina and Friends will play Latin and Pop classics starting at 5 PM, followed by an 80s tribute band in the evening. Also: Bauer Roth's Asparagus Stand (asparagus specialties – Eschborn is located in an asparagus-growing region), strawberry cake from the Landfrauen on Sunday afternoon.

Children's Program and Trade Exhibition

On Hauptstraße, there will be a children's play street with attractions, music, and theater. On Saturday afternoon, Jonny Karacho will perform with energetic children's songs, along with storytellers and bubble artists. Fahrstall Christoph offers pony rides and carriage rides. In parallel, the trade exhibition with Eschborn companies will be set up in Unterortstraße – an annual platform for local businesses.

Arrival by Shuttle Bus

Eschborn is a city with S-Bahn connections in the Frankfurt transport network. During the festival, a free shuttle bus will also run every 30 minutes between Niederhöchstadt („Langer Weg“) and Eschborn-Mitte. The Stadthaus parking garage will remain open.
