Three Nights, Three Styles
The Sossenheim Open Air – SoOPA for short – is one of the largest open-air festivals in western Frankfurt. It takes place annually in the Open-Air-Arena at Sossenheim Kerbeplatz and is divided into three themed festival nights, each with its own headliner series. In 2026, the festival runs from August 20th to 22nd. The organizer is the volunteer association Arbeitskreis Sossenheim Open Air e.V. – the festival is organized entirely by volunteers.
Thursday 20.8. – Mallorcastyle
The first festival day is themed 'Mallorcastyle' – Ballermann hits, Schlager-Mallorca versions, and Bierkönig classics. Headliners:
- Ikke Hüftgold – one of Germany's most successful Mallorca stars
- Julian Sommer – TikTok phenomenon and Schlager star of the younger generation
- Calvin Kleinen – Reality TV star and Mallorca act
- Nina Reh
- Support: DJ Oliver Schraml
Friday 21.8. – Schlagerstyle
The second day is dedicated to classic German Schlager:
- Marianne Rosenberg – Schlager icon since the 1970s, songs like 'Er gehört zu mir'
- Mike Leon Grosch – Schlager singer
- Lucas Cordalis – Son of Schlager legend Costa Cordalis, reality and Schlager star
- Marie Reim – Daughter of Schlager star Matthias Reim
- Support: Bäppi
Saturday 22.8. – Electricstyle
The closing day focuses on electronic music with an emphasis on dance and Eurodance pop:
- LE SHuuk – German DJ and producer with Hardstyle roots
- Luca-Dante Spadafora
- ItaloBrothers – Eurodance trio with hits like 'Stamp on the Ground'
- Buffalo & Wallace
- Support: EA Project, Englero Brothers
Soopa Sozial – Volunteering and Social Engagement
A special feature of SoOPA: It is a festival organized entirely by volunteers. Through the affiliated program 'Soopa Sozial', festival proceeds go to regional social projects – a model that distinguishes SoOPA from purely commercial Mallorca events and strengthens the connection between Sossenheim as a district and the festival.
Sossenheim, West Frankfurt
Sossenheim is a district in western Frankfurt with around 16,000 inhabitants, which has retained its village character alongside the big-city atmosphere. The Kerbeplatz is also the venue for the traditional Sossenheim Kerb (early October) – in August, it transforms into a festival arena.
Tickets and Format
Tickets from €23–38 (Early Bird) plus fees. The first phase tickets ('Early Bird') were already sold out; Phase 2 tickets have been released. Admission between 3:30 PM and 6:00 PM depending on the festival day.
