Electrisize — the Rhineland mega-festival for electronic music

Since its inception in 2009, Electrisize Festival has been the largest open-air festival for electronic music in North Rhine-Westphalia and Western Germany. The 2026 edition will take place from August 7 to 9, 2026, on the established festival grounds in Erkelenz-Hetzerath (Heinsberg district). With around 50,000 visitors over three days, 5 stages, over 150 acts, and sophisticated camping infrastructure, Electrisize is a fixture of the German festival season.

Five stages — all varieties of electronic music

Each stage has its own sound focus:

• Mainstage: Headliners like Showtek, Paul Elstak, Glockenbach — Big-Room, EDM, Mainstream Dance
• Hardsize: Hardcore and Hard Dance — Brennan Heart, Ran-D, Sound Rush, among others
• Turbo: High-Energy and Eclectic — Calvin Kleinen, Da Hool, among others
• Tapuya: House, Deep House, and melodic Electronica
• Campsite Stage: Intimate sets by NYF, Phake, and newcomer acts directly on the campsite

A total of over 150 acts — the official stage assignments and set times will be communicated in the weeks before the festival at electrisize.de/artists.

Camping and Logistics

Electrisize is a classic camping festival with sophisticated infrastructure:

• Festival Camping: classic tent sites included in the festival ticket
• Car Camping: car plus tent on a pitch
• Motorhome Camping: separate area for caravans and motorhomes
• VIP Area: with private sanitary facilities, lounge area, and catering
• Showers and sanitary facilities
• Food court with international selection, cocktails, and vegan options

Erkelenz-Hetzerath — the festival location

The festival grounds are located in Hetzerath, a district of Erkelenz (approx. 45,000 inhabitants) in the Heinsberg district. Its location in western NRW, near the Dutch border, attracts an international audience — in addition to German festival-goers, many visitors from the Netherlands and Belgium attend. Accessibility via the A46/A52 is good; a shuttle service complements public transport from Erkelenz train station.
