Tradition since the 1980s
The Ebersbacher Stadtfest has been the social highlight in the Ebersbach event calendar since the 1980s. The organizer is the Verbund Ebersbacher Vereine (VEV), an alliance of all local associations — from the music club and the gymnastics club to the Albverein (Swabian Jura hiking club). This very club life makes the festival special: every stall is operated by volunteers, and the proceeds flow back into youth work and club funds.
Festival Mile in the City Center
The venue is Hauptstraße and Kirchheimer Straße in the Ebersbach city center — both streets will be completely closed for the weekend. Stalls, stages, and seating areas line up for several hundred meters. Several main areas with live music will be set up in the center, with club stalls offering food, drinks, and activities distributed around them.

- Saturday afternoon — Opening at 3 PM with keg tapping, daytime program until well after midnight
- Sunday morning — Morning pint (Frühschoppen) with brass music
- Sunday afternoon — Family program until 6 PM, often with Sunday shopping at Ebersbach retailers
Gastronomy by the Associations
The culinary diversity is impressive because each association brings its classic dish: Bratwurst and fries from the sports club, Maultaschen (Swabian dumplings) from the Albverein, pizza and spaghetti from the Italian cultural association, cocktails and punch from the youth club, coffee and cake from the church groups. Plus beer from a local brewery and Württemberg wines from the nearby Remstal valley.
Live Music on Several Stages
On the main stage in the town center, three to four regional bands play every year — cover pop, rock, and Swabian dialect music alternate. A second stage is for smaller acts; the Ebersbach town band and show dance groups also perform on Sunday morning.
Ebersbach in the Filstal Valley
Ebersbach an der Fils is located in the district of Göppingen, about a 30-minute train ride from Stuttgart. The S-Bahn connection (S1) makes the festival attractive for visitors from the entire Stuttgart metropolitan area. Those coming from the Remstal valley or the Swabian Jura will also find a short journey.

The 2026 town festival sticks to the proven format: second weekend of July, closed city center, association stalls along Hauptstraße and Kirchheimer Straße. Opening on Saturday afternoon, main program on Saturday evening, morning pint (Frühschoppen) and family day on Sunday.

The organizer remains the Verbund Ebersbacher Vereine (VEV) with all local associations as catering partners.

Getting There
S-Bahn line S1 from Stuttgart directly to Ebersbach (Fils), get off in the center. By car via the B 10 (Stuttgart–Ulm), parking spaces are signposted in the town area. Traveling by S-Bahn is recommended — the city center is closed during the festival.
Admission
Free admission. Food and drinks are paid for directly at the association stalls.
