A Summer Night in the Park
When Rechberghausen hosts its "Grüne Mitte" for the Sommernachtsfest, visitors from the entire Filstal and Voralb region gather — and for good reason. The landscape park, which has formed the green heart of the community since the renovation of the town center, is the perfect venue: spacious enough for thousands of guests, yet intimate enough to create atmosphere. On Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 12:30 AM, the 15th edition of the festival will take place here.
Live Music on the Main Stage
Two bands will shape the musical evening. Starting at 5:30 PM, Acoustic Groove will kick things off with an acoustically driven set of pop and rock classics (until approx. 7:30 PM). From 8:00 PM, Rockspitz takes over — the regional cover band will play rock and pop classics to sing along and dance to in two sets (8:00 PM–9:30 PM and 11:00 PM–12:30 AM).
Fire Show and Musical Fireworks
The first visual highlight is the fire show at 9:30 PM: Artists with torches, fire staffs, and fire ropes will choreograph their acts to the live music. The second and absolute highlight follows at 11:00 PM with the musical fireworks, which spectacularly combine light and sound. Hundreds of additional lights and fire sources along the park paths will create an almost cinematic atmosphere throughout the evening.
Program for Children
Families will find their place in a specially designated children's area. Face painting, small workshops, and two children's theater performances at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM ensure that even the youngest are not just spectators. Children under 12 years old are admitted free of charge when accompanied by parents.
Rechberghausen — Landscape Park Instead of Marketplace
Rechberghausen (Göppingen district, district code 08117, just under 6,000 inhabitants) has created a model project with the renovation of its town center into the "Grüne Mitte" that many smaller municipalities in Baden-Württemberg envy: a central landscape park instead of sealed-off market space, with meadows, paths, water features, and trees. For one night, the Sommernachtsfest turns this park into an open-air stage — and for 15 years, it has been one of the most popular summer events at the foot of the Hohenstaufen.

15th Sommernachtsfest 2026
The 15th edition of the Sommernachtsfest in 2026 falls on Saturday, August 1 — a single evening filled with concerts, fire art, and pyrotechnics in the "Grüne Mitte" landscape park. Advance ticket sales begin on May 4, 2026, at the town hall.
The acoustic cover band Acoustic Groove will kick off the evening from 5:30 PM, before Rockspitz takes over at 8 PM with rock and pop classics. The fire show around 9:30 PM and the musical fireworks at 11 PM will be the visual highlights. After the fireworks, Rockspitz will play again until 12:30 AM to round off the night.
For families, there will be children's theater at 6 PM and 7:30 PM, face painting, and craft activities. Children under 12 are admitted free when accompanied by parents.

Rechberghausen is located between Göppingen and Hohenstaufen. By train: Regional train to Göppingen, then bus to Rechberghausen. By car: A 8 exit Göppingen-Aichelberg, then B 297 towards Süßen. Parking available in the town center and at park-and-walk locations.
