About Blütenfest Roßwälden

When the Streuobstwiesen (traditional orchards) around Roßwälden are in full bloom in May, the Fruit and Garden Association invites you to the Blütenfest. On May 9th and 10th, 2026, the Halde festival meadow, located on the cycle path towards Hochdorf, will transform into a traditional Swabian Hocketse. You'll experience catering with local specialties, apple juice from our own press, live music, and a family program — Saturday from 5 PM to 11 PM, Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM. In the Göppingen district, at the foot of the Swabian Jura.

Streuobstwiesen Festival in the Filstal

The Blütenfest Roßwälden is a classic example of the club festivals that shape Swabian rural life — supported by the Obst- und Gartenbauverein Roßwälden e.V. (Fruit and Garden Association), an organization that has been cultivating Streuobstwiesen culture in the southern Göppingen district for decades. May is the peak of the apple, pear, and cherry blossom season — and precisely then, the Halde festival meadow on the cycle path towards Hochdorf opens for two days.

2026 — Hocketse on the Weekend

The festival runs on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, from 5 PM to 11 PM and on Sunday, May 10th, 2026, from 11 AM to 6 PM. The atmosphere is a typical Swabian Hocketse: simple beer benches under apple trees, regional catering, local music, a marquee character without the pomp of larger events. The mood is familial — club members, neighbors from Ebersbach and Hochdorf, hikers, and cyclists from the Filstal.

What to Expect

  • Fresh Apple Juice from the club's own press — a core element of the event
  • Swabian Specialties — Maultaschen, lentils with sausages, Swabian bratwurst, fries, cakes from the club's baking
  • Württemberg Wines and Beer from regional breweries
  • Sunday Morning Pint with the music club
  • Children's Play Area and Bobby car zone
  • Plant Market with fruit tree cuttings and seedlings from the club garden

Roßwälden and Ebersbach

Roßwälden is a part of Ebersbach an der Fils, a town with about 15,000 inhabitants in the Göppingen district. Its location at the foot of the Swabian Jura shapes the landscape: Streuobstwiesen, rolling hills, classic Swabian architecture. Roßwälden itself has about 1,500 inhabitants and is considered a quiet, nature-oriented residential area. The Blütenfest is one of the few village-specific club festivals that bring the village life to a yearly highlight.
