Open-air festival with brass punk rock in the Taubertal
The Dure Festival has established itself as a fixture in the Lower Franconian festival scene within a few years. The venue is a meadow at Gänswasen directly on Tauberstraße in the market town of Bieberehren — a small village in the Würzburg district with just under 1000 inhabitants. That's exactly the appeal: no stadium, no event area, but a meadow, a few caravans, a stage, and lots of music.
The musical profile is clear: brass punk rock is the focus. Bands with brass sections — saxophone, trumpet, trombone — combined with the energy of punk and rock shape the festival sound. In addition, acts from the ska, folk-punk, indie, and singer-songwriter scenes appear every year. The line-up is predominantly regional, with occasional appearances by supra-regional acts that fit the DIY philosophy.
The Dure Festival is a festival by music fans for music fans. It operates without inflated sponsorship, with a manageable entrance fee (tickets from €15) and an atmosphere that is rare in today's festival landscape. The festival maintains its own camping meadow, its own kitchen, and a festival shop — all voluntarily supported by the organizing team.
Bieberehren is located on the southern edge of the Würzburg district in Lower Franconia (Bavaria), in one of the most beautiful river regions of Southern Germany. The Taubertal is known as a cycling tourism region — those who arrive by bike can combine the festival with a tour along the Romantic Tauber Cycle Path. Wertheim, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, and the Würzburg Residence are also within day-trip distance.
Two days of festival on a meadow in the Taubertal: The Dure Festival 2026 continues its proven concept. On a manageable open-air stage at Gänswasen, several bands will perform on Friday and Saturday, with a focus on brass punk rock and related styles. The line-up announcement will be made gradually on social media channels and the festival website; already confirmed bands will be announced there continuously. On-site camping, catering by the festival crew, free camping space for tents. Tickets from €15 in advance online, box office depending on availability.
The official band list will be updated continuously — current overview on dure-festival.de as well as on Instagram (@dure_festival) and YouTube. If you like brass punk rock, ska, and folk punk, you should listen here.
