Summer Festival at the Pröbstlmühle

The historic Pröbstlmühle is a special venue in the village life of Schwabsoien. Here, the village community celebrates its Dorffest mit Sternmarsch – a summer festival that combines Franconian-Bavarian festival tradition with the idyllic setting of the old mill in the Pfaffenwinkel region.

Star March by the Brass Band

The namesake is the star march by the Schwabsoien brass band: the music ensemble marches to the festival grounds, playing music, thus opening the festival evening. Hearty brass music forms the sonic backdrop of the first festival day, which begins on Saturday evening.

Festival Church Service and Frühschoppen

On the second day, Sunday is dedicated to tradition and sociability: a festive church service in the morning, followed by Frühschoppen and coffee and cake in the afternoon. Thus, the Dorffest combines spiritual tradition, brass music, and cozy get-togethers.

Schwabsoien is located in the Weilheim-Schongau district in the Free State of Bavaria, in Upper Bavaria's Pfaffenwinkel region, between the Lech and Ammersee lakes.
