A typical Altenburger village festival
The Dorf- und Vereinsfest Dobitschen is a classic small community festival, as is widely celebrated in the Altenburger Land. It is organized jointly by the municipality and its clubs – the fire department, sports club, cultural club, and rural women's association – and brings the village together for two days at the festival grounds.
Two days of programming
The kick-off is on Friday evening with music, children's football, and catering by the sports club. On Saturday, the full festival program unfolds: live music by the Löbichauer Schalmeien, outdoor bowling, DJ PIP, bouncy castles for children, and catering by the fire department, sports club, cultural club, and rural women's association. It's a packed program, supported by volunteer commitment.
Dobitschen – Altenburger Land
Dobitschen is a small municipality in the Altenburger Land district in eastern Thuringia, on the border with Saxony. The rural region between Altenburg and Schmölln is characterized by a particularly dense network of clubs – village and club festivals are important anchors of the community here.
Dorf- und Vereinsfest — edition 2026
The 2026 edition follows the proven concept of previous years. The detailed program will be published in the summer of 2026 on dorffest.dobitschen.de. As always, the festival is jointly supported by the fire department association, sports club, cultural club, and the rural women's association.
