Wine Celebrations in the Steigerwald Foothills

Dingolshausen is located in the Schweinfurt district, in the state of Bavaria, on the western edge of the Steigerwald Nature Park — one of Franconia's most famous wine regions. The Steigerwald Wine Panorama Region is renowned for its Silvaner grapevines and the small, family-run wineries that have been operating here for generations.

Frei:Raum — A Place for the Community

The Frei:Raum Dingolshausen is an event space newly designed a few years ago at Bischwinder Straße 11. With festive lighting in the trees, cozy seating areas, and a relaxed open-air stage atmosphere, it has established itself as a popular meeting point for community festivals. The Weinmomente are its most important summer highlight.

Weingut Loos as the Hosting Hub

The festival concept is linked to the neighboring Weingut Loos. The regional wines — primarily Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, and Bacchus from local cultivation — form the taste backbone of the festival. A diverse wine list covers different taste profiles.

Visitors to the Weinmomente can easily combine their stay with a visit to the nearby Mainschleife (Volkach, Escherndorf, Astheim) — perhaps the most beautiful wine region in Franconia. The historic city center of Schweinfurt and the Steigerwald Nature Park are also reachable within a 20-30 minute drive.
