The Lüderich — A Hill with a View and Golf

The Lüderich is a prominent elevation in the Bergisches Land — located in the municipality of Overath (Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis, North Rhine-Westphalia) between Cologne and the Oberbergisches region. At 260 meters, it offers a wide view over the hilly Bergisches Land. The Golfclub Der Lüderich is situated on the Lüderich — an established golf facility that has also been opened for special events for years. The combination of its scenic location, view, and sports infrastructure makes the Lüderich a surprising but well-functioning open-air stage.

Kölsch Music in the Bergisches Land

“Der Berg groovt” brings Kölsch music from the cathedral city to the Bergisches hinterland — a sensible programming choice, as the Bergisches Land is culturally closely linked to Cologne, and many commuters and former Cologne residents live here. A Kölsch stage on the Lüderich thus finds an enthusiastic audience that does not have to travel to Cologne.

The Three Bands

The 2026 lineup brings together three representatives of the Kölsch music scene:

• Steinenbrücker Schiffermädchen — a band influenced by Kölsch music with a traditional connection to the Rhenish boatmen's culture. Mood music with a narrative character, often with humorous lyrics about life on the Rhine
• LAUT ABER SCHIEF — a band with a programmatic name that focuses on the self-ironic Kölsch self-perception. Rock-oriented Kölsch music
• KLÜNGELKÖPP — one of the best-known party Kölsch bands in the region. “Klüngel” is the Kölsch word for the typically Rhenish, friendly agreement on paths beyond formal regulation — the band celebrates this mentality through music

Afterparty with DJ

After the concerts by the three bands, the afterparty with DJ will take place. Hits from the bands, Kölsch classics, and danceable party music will fill the open-air stage and the restaurant rooms of the Golf Club until late into the evening.

Tickets — Standard and VIP

The pricing structure: Standard Ticket €32.50 — access to the open-air concert. VIP option with buffet at an additional charge — comfortable seating, catering as a buffet, separate VIP lounge. Sales via Eventim or directly at the Golf Club. An event with a high price level and a corresponding clientele — a neighborhood festival atmosphere is not the goal.

Cooperation GO! Golfsport × Radio Berg

The organizers are GO! Golfsport (the operator of the Lüderich Golf Club) and Radio Berg (the local radio station for the Oberbergisches region, based in Gummersbach). This cooperation combines the infrastructural expertise of a golf event provider with the reach and program planning of a regional broadcaster — an increasingly established constellation for open-air events in the Rhineland.

Location and Travel

Overath is located about 20 kilometers east of Cologne, in the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis. By car: A4 exit Overath, then follow signs to Lüderich Golf Club. By public transport: Overath train station (Regionalbahn RB 25 from Cologne), then taxi or shuttle to the Lüderich. Parking available at the Golf Club. In case of bad weather, the event will move to the club's restaurant rooms.
