The ballroom of the Grand Hotel Heiligendamm impresses with its marble floor, a ceiling height of around nine metres, and neoclassical décor. The Grand Hotel, a partner and venue for the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern since its reopening in 2003, is one of the most distinguished addresses on the German Baltic Sea coast. The festive atmosphere of the hall makes every concert a special experience.

One of Europe's Largest Classical Music Festivals

The Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern were founded in 1990 and quickly developed into one of Europe's most important classical music festivals. Every summer, around 190 events take place at more than 80 venues throughout the state – from castles and manor houses to churches, barns, and historic hotel ballrooms. Around 250 artists from all over the world shape the programme.

Getting There

Heiligendamm is located about 6 km from Bad Doberan in the Rostock district. The narrow-gauge railway »Molli« provides easy access from Bad Doberan and Kühlungsborn. By car, follow the signs to Heiligendamm; parking is available on the outskirts of the town.
