Five classical concerts with international stars in the Renaissance Hall of Dachau Castle
The Dachau Castle Concerts take place in the Renaissance Hall of Dachau Castle – a festive hall with an ornate coffered ceiling high above the town. The series is organised by the Office for Culture, Tourism and Contemporary History of the City of Dachau and is one of the region's established cultural highlights.
International soloists and ensembles perform here five times a year. The programme ranges from string sextets and piano recitals to chamber orchestras and brass ensembles, covering a broad spectrum of classical music – from Baroque and Classical periods to Romanticism and Modernism.
The Renaissance Hall offers an acoustically and atmospherically exceptional setting. Its manageable size ensures an intimate, focused concert experience, bringing the audience particularly close to the artists.
The concerts can be attended individually or booked as an annual subscription for all five dates. The series enjoys an excellent reputation far beyond Dachau.
The 2026 season of the Dachau Castle Concerts offers five high-calibre evenings in the Renaissance Hall of Dachau Castle. The opening on January 24th features the Sestetto Stradivari, an ensemble of members from the orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, playing exclusively on Stradivari instruments. This is followed by a Bach piano recital with Angela Hewitt, a concert by the Polish Chamber Orchestra Radom with trumpeter Gábor Boldoczki, the Ingolstadt Chamber Philharmonic with Sergey Malov, and concluding with Salaputia Brass performing the programme "Winter Magic".
All concerts begin at 8 PM. Single tickets and annual subscriptions are available via München Ticket and the Dachau Cultural Office.
Dachau Castle is located above the old town. City buses run from Dachau station (S2 from Munich) towards the old town/castle. Parking is available in the old town.
Single tickets and annual subscriptions for all five concerts (Category A: 140 Euros, Category B: 132 Euros). Tickets are available via München Ticket and the Dachau Cultural Office.
