About CSD Reutlingen

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, the Christopher Street Day Reutlingen will take place again. Under the motto "Reutlingen is COLORFUL", CSD Reutlingen e.V. and its partners invite you to the Pride parade with a subsequent rally in Reutlingen's city centre — the first modern CSD in Reutlingen was welcomed with great enthusiasm by the citizens of Reutlingen. Main sponsor 2026: CMO. Further supporters: Seidemann-Web, REWE Group, among others. The event is in the tradition of the global Pride movement, commemorating the Stonewall riots of 1969 in New York, and brings together LGBTQ+ communities, allies, and citizens for visibility, acceptance, and equality.

Pride in the Swabian Medium-Sized City

Reutlingen, with around 116,000 inhabitants, is one of Württemberg's larger medium-sized cities — nestled between the Swabian Jura and the Schönbuch nature park, with a vibrant city centre, a university (Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences), and close ties to Tübingen and Stuttgart. The fact that a city of this size is organizing its own Christopher Street Day is an important signal for the LGBTQ+ movement in the southern Württemberg region: not only the major cities (Stuttgart, Munich), but also the medium-sized cities are committed to queer visibility and acceptance.

2026 Programme — June 13

The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026 — as confirmed by csd-termine.de. The organizer is CSD Reutlingen e.V., which, after several successful editions, has established a firm place in the southern Württemberg Pride calendar. The motto embraces the city's identity: "Reutlingen is COLORFUL" — diversity as a matter of course.

The classic CSD programme includes:

  • Pride Parade — a colourful demonstration with trucks, music, flags, costumes through Reutlingen's city centre
  • Rally — speeches by activists, politicians, community representatives in the central square
  • Booths and Info Tents — LGBTQ+ associations, counselling centres, queer initiatives from Reutlingen, Tübingen, Stuttgart, and the region
  • Live Music and Stage Programme — DJs, drag performances, messages of solidarity
  • Family Programme for queer families and allies

Background — Stonewall and the Global Pride Movement

The Christopher Street Day commemorates the Stonewall Riots of June 28, 1969, in New York's Christopher Street worldwide. On that day, patrons of the Stonewall Inn fought back against a police raid, initiating a pivotal turning point for the LGBTQ+ movement. Since then, communities worldwide have celebrated Pride parades every June — as a political demonstration for rights and against discrimination, but also as a festival of visibility and solidarity. Today, Pride is a global movement that is simultaneously a festival, a demonstration, and an empowerment experience in many countries.

Reutlingen's Modern Pride Tradition

For a long time, Reutlingen was a city without its own CSD — the southern Württemberg LGBTQ+ community primarily organized in Stuttgart and Tübingen. In recent years, CSD Reutlingen e.V. has closed this gap and, with a series of well-attended events, has significantly strengthened acceptance and visibility in Reutlingen, Tübingen, Metzingen, and the entire district. The citizens have welcomed the CSD positively from the beginning — a testament to the ongoing social change in Germany's medium-sized southern cities.

CSD Reutlingen — edition 2026

The CSD Reutlingen 2026 takes place on Saturday, June 13, in Reutlingen's city centre. Motto "Reutlingen is COLORFUL". Classic Pride programme: Pride parade through the city, rally with speeches, info booths of queer associations and counselling centres, live music and stage programme. Main sponsor CMO. Free admission.

2026 Programme

This year's edition follows the classic CSD structure: morning assembly of parade trucks and participant groups, midday start of the Pride parade through Reutlingen's city centre, afternoon central rally with speeches and statements, followed by a stage programme with live music, drag performances, and DJ sets.

The motto "Reutlingen is COLORFUL" reflects the positive reception of previous CSDs by Reutlingen's society and places diversity at the centre as a matter of course. With main sponsor CMO and supporters like Seidemann-Web and REWE Group, the association has a solid financial basis for an attractive programme in 2026.
