Christopher Street Day and Prideweeks in the Franconian metropolis
The CSD Nürnberg Pride is one of the most significant large-scale queer events in Bavaria. Throughout the so-called Prideweeks, the community takes over the public spaces of the city in the district-equivalent urban district of Nuremberg with a dense programme of politics, culture, parties, and encounters.
The motto for the 2026 edition is "NÜRNBERG LIEBT" (Nuremberg Loves) and stands for solidarity, community, and mutual recognition. More than 100 individual events are spread across the approximately three weeks of the Prideweeks: readings, discussion rounds, workshops, exhibitions, concerts, and parties.
The political and emotional centrepiece is the large CSD demonstration, which winds its way through Nuremberg's city centre. The two-day finale takes place at Kornmarkt, where a stage programme combines the community's demands with live performances. The Together Party rounds off the weekend.
The organiser is the non-profit Förderverein Christopher-Street-Day Nürnberg e.V. The festival thrives on the voluntary commitment of numerous helpers and the support of over 30 sponsors, including major employers in the region and the city of Nuremberg. Those who want to get involved can register as volunteers, become members, participate in the demonstration, or register their own events during the Prideweeks.
With its broad programme, CSD Nürnberg Pride is much more than a demonstration: it is a cultural showcase for queer life in Middle Franconia and an attraction for visitors from all over Northern Bavaria.
From July 22 to August 9, 2026, CSD Nürnberg Pride will shape the cityscape of the Franconian metropolis. Under the motto "NÜRNBERG LIEBT", the Prideweeks bundle over 100 events from politics, culture, and celebrations.
On Saturday, August 8, the central CSD demonstration will take place through the city centre. The grand finale will be celebrated on August 8 and 9 at Kornmarkt, complemented by after-parties at the clubs Hirsch and Die Rakete.
The CSD demonstration and the stage programme at Kornmarkt are free to access. Individual events during the Prideweeks and the after-parties may charge an admission fee.
Kornmarkt is centrally located in Nuremberg's Old Town and is easily accessible via the U-Bahn (subway) stations Lorenzkirche and Hauptbahnhof. Due to its inner-city location, travelling by public transport is recommended.
The demonstration and stage programme at Kornmarkt are free to access. Individual events during the Prideweeks may be subject to a charge.
The complete programme for the Prideweeks will be published on the official website and is continuously updated.
