Southern Germany's largest tech and digital festival
The NUEDIGITAL Festival is not anchored to a single central location. Over 240 events are organized by around 260 partners from companies, universities, public institutions, initiatives, and private individuals throughout the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region — spread across Nuremberg, Erlangen, Fürth, and surrounding areas. Over 18,000 participants from Germany and abroad experience together how digitalization is lived in Franconia.
In 2026, the 14th edition will run under the motto "Recode the Future". A premiere: for the first time, the Bavarian Digital Summit is part of the festival — a significant step for Franconia's digital visibility at the Bavarian state level. The main sponsors for this edition are N-ERGIE AG and Consorsbank.
FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg is one of the festival's pillars. Chairs, student groups, and individual researchers register their own events — lectures, workshops, showcases, pitches. Companies like Datev, Siemens, and Adidas also shape the program, as do co-working spaces, startups, libraries, and cultural institutions.
NUEDIGITAL is organized as a non-profit and is free for visitors. Those who wish to attend an event must register in advance via the festival website — most events have limited capacity.
The 14th edition of the Nuremberg Digital Festival spans eleven days and ten thematic focuses. Companies, universities, public institutions, initiatives, and individuals from the entire metropolitan region are involved. The main sponsors for 2026 are N-ERGIE AG and Consorsbank.
For the first time in 2026, the Bavarian Digital Summit is directly integrated into the festival — a politically and economically significant step for Middle Franconia as a tech location.
Interested partners could register their own events until April 21, 2026. The complete program went online on April 28, 2026.
Lectures, workshops, conferences, hackathons, meet-ups, pitches, showcases. Events take place in Nuremberg, Erlangen, Fürth — on-site, hybrid, or purely digital. Many events are also available in English.
