Overview

The 13th edition of the Nuremberg Digital Festival 2025 once again brought together hundreds of events over eleven festival days in the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region. AI, cybersecurity, Digital Health, startups, and New Work shaped the program. Decentralized organization in Nuremberg, Erlangen, Fürth, and surrounding areas, with participation from companies, universities, and initiatives — as always, accessible free of charge.

The Nuremberg Digital Festival 2025 was once again a meeting point for the Middle Franconian and supra-regional digital community. Over 200 events — from lectures and workshops to hackathons — were organized by companies, universities, co-working spaces, initiatives, and private individuals.

The thematic range extended from AI and software engineering to robotics and smart industry, as well as digital culture, sustainability, and cybersecurity. FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg, as usual, was represented with numerous events, as were Datev, Siemens, and smaller tech companies in the region.

Since its inception, the festival has been organized as a non-profit and is free for participants — a model that serves as a benchmark for regional tech communities across Germany.
