CSD München 2026 takes place from June 26 to 28, embedded within the PrideWeeks starting June 11. Under the motto 'Our Diversity. Our Strength.', the PolitParade will march through the city center on Saturday, June 27, starting at 12 PM. New this year is the three-day PrideMeile on Ludwigstraße.

From June 26 to 28, 2026, Munich celebrates Christopher Street Day under the motto 'Our Diversity. Our Strength.'. The PolitParade starts on Saturday, June 27, at 12 PM at Mariahilfplatz and proceeds via Reichenbachbrücke, Fraunhoferstraße, Gärtnerplatz, Müllerstraße, and Altstadtring to Maximilianstraße.

For the first time, a three-day PrideMeile on Ludwigstraße replaces the previous festival area at Marienplatz. The PrideWeeks, featuring numerous events throughout the city, begin as early as June 11.

Getting there

The PolitParade starts at Mariahilfplatz and leads via Reichenbachbrücke, Fraunhoferstraße, Gärtnerplatz, Müllerstraße, and the Altstadtring to Maximilianstraße. The city center is best reached by S-Bahn, U-Bahn, and tram; road closures are to be expected on parade days.

Participation in and attendance of the PolitParade and the PrideMeile are free. Donations support the organization.

Pride in the Heart of Munich

Christopher Street Day (CSD) Munich is one of the largest Pride events in Germany. It is both a colorful festival of joie de vivre and a political demonstration: Lesbians, gays, bisexual, trans, intersex, and queer people, as well as their allies, take to the streets for equality, visibility, and social acceptance.

The PolitParade

The centerpiece is the PolitParade, a colorful demonstration procession through Munich's city center with elaborately designed floats, walking groups, music, and political messages. Hundreds of thousands of participants and spectators line the route. The weekend is accompanied by a supporting program with speeches, culture, and political demands – such as the inclusion of queer rights in the Basic Law and a queer action plan for Bavaria.

New in 2026: the PrideMeile

In 2026, the previous street festival at Marienplatz will be replaced by a three-day PrideMeile on Ludwigstraße. Over several days, information booths, stages, and meeting places will be set up around the Pride weekend. The PrideWeeks extend over more than two weeks with events throughout the city.
