Inclusive Rock Open Air at the BUNI Culture and Leisure Centre
Rock im BUNI is an inclusive youth open air event in Nuremberg, Bavaria's second-largest city in the Middle Franconia administrative region. The venue is the BUNI Culture and Leisure Centre. Under the motto 'Rock for Inclusion', regional bands perform a programme that focuses on the togetherness of people with and without disabilities.
BUNI is a place for encounter and co-creation for everyone, operated as a non-profit organisation by Lebenshilfe Nürnberg and noris inklusion. What makes it special is its inclusive, accessible, and low-cost concept based on volunteer work – the interaction between people with and without disabilities is omnipresent.
Bands from the region perform at the festival. In addition to the invited groups, the BUNI Band and the BUNI Percussion Crew are regularly part of the programme, featuring musicians with and without disabilities performing together.
Rock im BUNI is one of the long-standing inclusion festivals in the region and has been taking place for many years. With around 150 visitors, it deliberately remains familial and communal – encounter and participation take precedence over size.
The festival is more than just a concert: it is a living example of inclusion in Nuremberg's cultural landscape, demonstrating how natural shared celebration and making music can be.
The 2026 edition of Rock im BUNI is the 29th iteration and will take place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the BUNI Culture and Leisure Centre in Nuremberg.
Under the motto 'Rock for Inclusion', regional bands will perform. Corporal Defect, Lemoto, and Semikolon are confirmed; further acts are in preparation. As always, the BUNI Band and the BUNI Percussion Crew are also part of the programme. Around 150 visitors are expected. The event is organised by the non-profit BUNI Culture and Leisure Centre, run by Lebenshilfe Nürnberg and noris inklusion.
Accessible, low-cost concept by BUNI. Admission price to be announced shortly and will remain deliberately low.
Nuremberg is accessible via the A3, A6, A9, and A73 motorways and is a major ICE train hub. The BUNI Culture and Leisure Centre is located within Nuremberg city limits; travel by public transport is recommended.
BUNI's concept is deliberately low-cost. Weekly live concerts and courses are accessible at very low prices; festival admission will be announced at short notice and will remain accessible.
Current dates, line-up, and admission information will be published on the official website rock-im-buni.de.
