Sylt's Summer Culinary Stage

The Craft Beer & Gourmet Festival on the Westerland Beach Promenade is Sylt's newest culinary summer event with a distinct profile — a combination of beach location, craft beer scene, and upscale street food culture. Since its premiere in 2023, the event has established itself as a highlight of the Sylt season; 2026 marks the 4th edition.

Who's Participating — Breweries

Over 40 stalls offer a wide selection:

• Sturmbräu Kampen — the only brewery on Sylt, regional specialties directly from the island
• James Fram Flensburg — Craft Beer with an IPA focus from Flensburg
• Waldhaus Brauerei Schwarzwald — Southern German tradition meets Northern Germany
• Other craft breweries from Northern and Southern Germany

Wine, Cocktails, and Street Food

The festival isn't just about beer:

• Wine — small wineries, natural wines, German and international sparkling wines
• Cocktails — bars with their own specialty menus
• Street Food: Dry-aged burgers, tarte flambée, antipasti, fresh fish, Asian street food
• Vegan and vegetarian selection at all street food stalls

The Location — Brandenburger Strand

The venue is the Westerland Beach Promenade at Brandenburger Strand — right by the sea, with a wide view of the North Sea. Sylt is the largest North Frisian island in the District of Nordfriesland, in the far north of the state of Schleswig-Holstein. Westerland — the main town on the island — with its kilometer-long beach promenade, Friedrichstraße, and train connection, is the gateway to the island. The Craft Beer & Gourmet Festival perfectly utilizes the Westerland beach promenade for its open-air format.
