Two-track: Rock on Friday, Electro & Malle Night on Saturday – on Conny Hill in Nalbach
The Conny Hill near Körprich, a district of the municipality of Nalbach in the Saarlouis district, is a viewpoint with a far-reaching view over the Primstal valley. This is exactly where the Burning Hill Festival takes place every year at the beginning of July – on a slightly elevated meadow with a stage, camping area, and everything a well-organized small open-air event needs. The location is part of the program: Those who come want to get away from the big city, into the heart of Saarland, with a starry sky over the main stage.
The organizers have opted for a deliberately polarizing format: Instead of a continuous musical line, Burning Hill combines two worlds over two evenings:
The concept attracts two very different audiences – on Friday, rock t-shirts and leather jackets dominate, while on Saturday, glitter and festival outfits are the norm. Those who buy a two-day ticket experience an abrupt but exciting change in atmosphere.
With around 1,000 expected visitors, Burning Hill is not a mega-festival, but a deliberately manageable format. This is where its charm lies: short distances, direct artist interaction, a camping atmosphere where you get to know your tent neighbors. Festival passes for around €30 – a price that is hard to find at comparable open-air events.
Alongside the major festivals in Saarland (Rocco del Schlacko, UFO Festival, Saarspektakel), Burning Hill has carved out its niche as a *secret tip festival*. Exactly the right format for anyone tired of the mainstream festival experience and looking for a weekend on a Saarland hill with a clear concept.
The 2026 festival edition continues the proven two-track strategy. The main stage completely changes its character between the two evenings – a concept that makes the festival unmistakable.
