Season-opening garden and handicraft fair in the Kurpark Bad Bocklet — Lifestyle for garden, balcony, and home
The Bockleter LebensART is the season-opening garden and handicraft fair in the historic spa town of Bad Bocklet (Bad Kissingen district, Lower Franconia). It transforms the idyllic Kurpark into an oasis of creativity and handicraft every year at the end of April. Against the backdrop of the Brunnenhaus — a romantic spa building from the 19th century — exhibitors present trends, ideas, and products for the upcoming garden, balcony, and lifestyle season.
The premiere of LebensART took place in 2013. Since then, it has become one of the most visited garden and handicraft fairs in Lower Franconia. The organizers of the handicraft fair consciously focus on high-quality, handmade products — basket weaving, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, woodwork, wrought-iron garden objects, Mediterranean plants, herbs, outdoor lighting, decorative home accessories. This clearly positions the fair apart from industrial discount garden fairs — as a curated experience fair with a premium claim.
The thematic focus for exhibitors follows three areas of life: Garden (plants, seeds, garden decorations, outdoor furniture, sculptures), Balcony (potted plants, Mediterranean herbs, small-scale outdoor solutions), and Home (home decor, fabrics, ceramics, lighting objects). The range caters to homeowners, apartment dwellers with balconies, and lovers of decorative home culture.
The setting makes the fair special: The Bad Bocklet Kurpark with its old trees, winding paths, and the central Brunnenhaus is an ensemble of 19th-century Bavarian spa architecture. Bad Bocklet is located in the romantic Saale Valley, in the Bavarian Rhön Nature Park, and is known for its iron-rich healing spring. Visitors often combine attending the fair with a walk through the Kurpark, a visit to the Brunnenhäuschen, and a coffee in one of Bad Bocklet's cafés.
Another special feature: The catering is provided by the local sports club TSV Bad Bocklet — a conscious commitment from the local club scene. Coffee, cake, snacks, and drinks are sold at club stands, with proceeds supporting youth and club activities.
Admission is free, and opening hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. This makes the Bockleter LebensART a relaxed family outing for the last weekend in April — one of the first real spring weekends on the Franconian event calendar.
The Bockleter LebensART 2026 takes place on Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily in the Bad Bocklet Kurpark. Against the atmospheric backdrop of the Brunnenhaus, exhibitors present their trends, ideas, and products for the garden, balcony, and home.
The focus is on high-quality handmade products: ceramics, basket weaving, jewelry, textiles, woodwork, Mediterranean plants and herbs, garden decorations, outdoor lighting, wrought-iron objects. The organizers of the handicraft fair deliberately curate the exhibitor environment at a premium level — no industrial discounters, but craft-oriented providers from Bavaria, Lower Franconia, and the Rhön region.
Catering is provided by TSV Bad Bocklet with coffee, cake, snacks, and drinks. Free admission, a visit in a relaxed strolling atmosphere through the historic Kurpark.
