About Weinfest Schloss Aschach

The Weinfest Schloss Aschach is an atmospheric summer festival in the historic castle complex of the Schloss Aschach Museums, a district of the spa town of Bad Bocklet in the Bad Kissingen district of Lower Franconia. On two evenings in July, the castle courtyard is transformed into an inviting stage for regional Franconian wine, culinary delights, and live music. In cooperation with the Friends of the Schloss Aschach Museums and the emerging artist platform MAINPOP, the festival presents up-and-coming bands from Lower Franconia, thus combining wine culture, museum ambiance, and the young music scene. Embedded within the wine festivals of the Rhön-Grabfeld region, the Weinfest Schloss Aschach is a special summer experience in the romantic setting of one of Lower Franconia's most beautiful castle complexes.

Wine Festival in the Castle Courtyard

The Weinfest Schloss Aschach takes place annually in July in the castle complex of the Schloss Aschach Museums – in Aschach, a district of the spa town of Bad Bocklet in the state of Bavaria, in the Bad Kissingen district of Lower Franconia. The historic castle courtyard offers a romantic setting for a festival that combines Franconian wine culture with museum ambiance.

Franconian Wine and Culinary Delights

On two evenings, from approximately 7 PM to 11 PM each, Franconian wines from the region will be served, accompanied by culinary delicacies. The wine festival is part of the diverse wine festivals of the Rhön-Grabfeld region and invites you to linger in the summer castle courtyard.

Cooperation with MAINPOP

A special feature is the collaboration with the emerging artist platform MAINPOP: On Saturday evening, the Schloss Aschach Museums, together with MAINPOP, will present four up-and-coming bands from Lower Franconia. Thus, the festival combines wine culture with the promotion of young musicians from the region.

Schloss Aschach Museums

The Schloss Aschach Museums house three museums under one roof – the Graf Luxburg Museum, the School Museum, and the Ethnographic Museum – in a historic castle complex belonging to the district of Lower Franconia. For two evenings, the wine festival turns this cultural site into the venue for a lively summer celebration.

Summer Experience in Lower Franconia

For Bad Bocklet and the Bad Kissingen district, the Weinfest Schloss Aschach is an attractive event in the summer calendar. The combination of Franconian wine, castle ambiance, and the young music scene constitutes the special charm of this festival.
