The BIE-Happy — Bielefeld's Spring Highlight
The BIE-Happy Spring Fair is one of the largest and oldest spring fairs in Ostwestfalen and Bielefeld's most important Volksfest (popular festival) event. From Saturday, April 4th to Sunday, April 12th, 2026, the 27th edition will take over the festival grounds at the Radrennbahn at Heeper Straße 301 — nine days of rides, stalls, and family entertainment.
The Attractions 2026
Bielefeld's showmen are bringing new highlights in 2026:
- "Mad Max" — new high-thrill ride with an adrenaline guarantee
- "Break Dancer" — a classic, returning for the first time in years
- Ferris Wheel — offering views over Bielefeld
- Roller Coaster — the family classic
- Bumper Cars — the fastest circular competition
- Classic Carousels — chain carousel, fairy tale rides, children's carousels
In addition, over 100 stalls offering shooting games, throwing games, almonds, crêpes, potato pancakes, mulled wine, and beer.

Opening Saturday — April 4th, 2026, Happy Hour
For the opening, there's a Happy Hour from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM — pay once and ride twice. A classic Bielefeld tradition to attract families to the first fair of the year.
Family Day — Wednesday, April 8th, 2026
Family Day on Wednesday, April 8th, 2026 is the fair's family day with reduced prices — some rides at half price, many stalls with special offers. Perfect for families with small children.
Spectacular Firework Display — Friday, April 10th, 2026
On Friday, April 10th, 2026, around 9:00 PM, the spectacular firework display will take place — the musically synchronized highlight of the fair. Thousands of spectators will watch the spectacle — it's clearly visible even from outside the fairgrounds.

Schaustellerverein Bielefeld (Bielefeld Showmen's Association)
The organizer is the Schaustellerverein Bielefeld e.V. — the association of local showman families, which also organizes the Bielefeld Autumn Fair ("BIE-Happy Herbstkirmes"). The association's tradition dates back far and ensures Bielefeld's fair culture.

Reduced prices at many rides and stalls. Perfect for families.
Friday, April 10th, 2026 — Spectacular Firework Display
Around 9:00 PM, the spectacular firework display — the musically synchronized highlight. The spectacle is well visible even outside the fairgrounds.
Sunday, April 12th, 2026 — Closing
Last day of the fair with full operation from 2:00 PM.
