BHZ's first own open-air concert in their hometown, Berlin's Zitadelle Spandau
The collective BHZ (short for “Berliner Heroes Zone”) is one of the most defining phenomena in German rap of recent years. Hailing from Schöneberg, the crew around Big Pat, Dead Dawg, Longus Mongus, Monk and Aki has developed from an insider tip in Berlin's underground scene to one of the most successful live acts in German rap within a few years. Their mix of Boombap, melodic trap, and unsparing lyrics about Berlin, friendship, and independence has built an extremely loyal fanbase.
After several sold-out arena shows at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, Max-Schmeling-Halle, and Columbiahalle, the crew is bringing their own open-air concert to Berlin for the first time in 2026. The venue is the Zitadelle Spandau — one of Northern Germany's oldest fortresses, located in the Spandau district at the confluence of the Havel and Spree rivers. The courtyard concerts at the Citadel are among Germany's most sought-after live locations thanks to their historic walls, natural acoustics, and special atmosphere.
BHZ is known for concerts that oscillate between raw live energy and carefully composed transitions. You can expect:
The Zitadelle Spandau in the Haselhorst/Spandau district has been one of Berlin's most important open-air venues since the 2000s — artists like Bob Dylan, Lana Del Rey, Iron Maiden, and Wanda have played here. For BHZ, whose sound is often described as “typically West Berlin,” Spandau (itself a West Berlin district since reunification) is a symbolically fitting location. From Spandau station, you can reach the fortress in about a ten-minute walk across the Juliusturm bridge.
BHZ's first own open-air concert in Berlin: a Thursday evening in late summer 2026, at the historic Zitadelle Spandau. Big Pat, Dead Dawg, Longus Mongus, Monk, and Aki are bringing their Berlin audience to Spandau — a logical next step after the major arena shows of recent years. The organizer is Landstreicher Konzerte, one of the established Berlin live bookers.
Only the headliner is known so far — support acts are typically announced a few weeks before the concert via the official BHZ channels and Landstreicher Konzerte. In recent years, BHZ's arena shows often featured guest acts from the wider Berlin rap scene.
No setlist has been officially published. A cross-section of their repertoire is expected, performed with a live band — typical for BHZ concerts.
