Premiere on the outskirts of Leipzig

Belgershain is located about 15 kilometers southeast of Leipzig in the Leipzig district and belongs to the Mulde region. With its seven sections, SV 1863 Belgershain is the sporting heart of the community — and in 2026, it will celebrate itself for the first time with its own sports festival. For three days, the sports field, sports hall, and the historic castle will become the stage for a sporting homeland celebration that aims to involve all generations.

Seven Sections Under One Roof

Each section contributes to the program: the athletics team invites you to try sprinting and shot put, the volleyball team organizes a regionally represented mixed tournament on four courts, and the karatekas compete in an interregional competition with several age groups. Table tennis tournaments for everyone and team competitions from U11 to U17 will take place in the hall, while the badminton and football sections will present tournaments and friendly matches. The women's sports group rounds off the program with demonstrations on mobility, agility, and fitness.

Athletes' Ball at Schloss Belgershain

The social highlight is the athletes' ball on Saturday evening, June 27, starting at 7:30 PM at Schloss Belgershain. The program includes club honors, a karate show, a live concert by Mimosa Monkeys, and the spectacular Thunder Fire Show. Smash Burgers, the cocktail truck Miximo, and the Schlossbar will cater to guests — children up to 15 years old are free when accompanied by their parents.

Family Program Around the Sports Hall

For children, there is a bouncy castle and football darts; the goulash cannon and a potato soup stand provide hearty sustenance. Coffee, cake, fries, and barbecue complement the gastronomic offerings. With the sports festival, the club aims to make club life visible and attract new members — a classic community festival with a sporting focus in the Leipzig district.
